Established in 1983 and incorporated in 1986 as a private limited company, it has yards and fabrication halls for o shipbuilding. ABL involves also in heavy steel engineering works such as plant fabrication-erection-installation including testing and commissioning, power plant piping and making of oil reservoir tanks etc. ABL has successfully completed a good number of shipbuilding, plant erection, electro-mechanical and civil construction projects on turnkey basis in both private and public sectors. ABL's yard has built and supplied, among others, Dredgers, Crane Boats, Small Ro-Ro ferries, Floating Terminals with Shore connection, Inspection Vessels, Accommodation Barges, and Deck loading Barges, Tugs, Dry Cargo Vessels, and Floating Crane. Aluminum works such as making of Survey Boats, Speed Boats and Patrol Craft is a section in ABL. ABL rank top in private sector in Bangladesh.
